How come every updata I do I loose some info and gain other. I always seem to loose something to do with vehicle id or auto detect too many vehicles hive me problems to read vin or vin decodeTags: ds708_problems

I have noticed the same thing. Very few cars auto id anymore. Plus, I had to write a vin
to a new pcm on a 2005 toyota corolla and the maxisys would not do it. My snap-on
scanner did it. -

I found when I try auto id many times it wouldn't work also but if I went to manufacture app it would read the vin most of the time -

I agree with you. If you directly to the manufacture most of the times we are able to read the VIN. -

I gave up on auto id a long time ago. It was frankly easier and quicker to go and select the manufacturer manually and go from there . It would take to long to auto id and then half the time after waiting for it to id the car it would tell me it could not I could have the car id manually by the time all that happened. It is a cool idea but again a frill that they should let go of and focus on the core purpose of the tool pids and bi-directional -

I complete agree, the autoVin is one more function that is increasingly less effective -

Yes neat idea but not functional more times than not, I have lost the ability to merge graphed pids now since the last update it's greyed out and have looked at if I had some how disabled it still only had the unit for 3 weeks now and still learning has anyone else had the same problem.
